CODE OF CONDUCT

card-soft-template-paper-report.jpg

At BachataAmor Festivals, we stand for respect, kindness, and inclusivity. We aim to create a warm and safe space for every dancer, artist, and guest.
By participating in a BachataAmor event, you agree to uphold these values to ensure a welcoming environment for all.
Our events are open to everyone — regardless of gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical ability, body type, or religious belief.
Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. This includes:

  • Violence or threats

  • Discriminatory or derogatory remarks (sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, etc.)

  • Any action or comment that causes discomfort or harm

If you experience or witness any inappropriate behavior — whether towards a participant, volunteer, artist, or staff member — please report it immediately to the designated contact person present at the event. They are available to listen and act if needed to protect the well-being and safety of all.
BachataAmor reserves the right to take any action necessary to maintain the peace and safety of our events, including the removal of individuals without refund. In severe cases, local authorities may be contacted.

Respect for All

A Space for Dance, Not Debate

Political Neutrality & Respect
We understand that our community comes from diverse backgrounds and may hold different perspectives. However, BachataAmor is an apolitical space, focused on dance, unity, and joy.

  • Please refrain from political discussions, protests, or displays that may cause division or discomfort.

  • Any attempt to use the festival as a platform for political advocacy will not be permitted.

We believe Bachata transcends boundaries — let’s celebrate what brings us together. If you feel uncomfortable or witness any situation of political disrespect or disruption, please contact our team discreetly.

Mutual Respect at All Levels

Respect the people and the space.

  • Treat volunteers, staff, venues, and fellow guests with kindness and courtesy.

  • Do not damage or misuse venue property — respect the space as if it were your home.

  • Leave large items (backpacks, suitcases, etc.) at the cloakroom, when available.

  • We are not liable for lost items not deposited in official storage.

  • Wear your wristband at all times. Entry to events may be denied without one.

  • No smoking or vaping indoors or in hotel rooms — use designated areas only.

  • Respect hotel guests by keeping noise levels low in common areas and rooms.

  • We may limit workshop sizes to ensure high-quality learning experiences.

  • Tickets are non-refundable in case of artist cancellation or no-show.

Dance Ethics

Let’s keep the dance floor friendly, hygienic, and respectful.

  • Everyone has the right to say no to a dance — and that choice must be respected.

  • Practice good hygiene: shower, wear deodorant, brush your teeth, and bring a change of clothes for workshops and socials.

  • Attend workshops at your appropriate level — this ensures a better experience for all.

  • Respect instructors, their teaching styles, and your fellow learners.

  • Be aware of your surroundings while dancing — safety first!

  • No acrobatics or lifts unless both partners have given clear, enthusiastic consent and have the skill to perform them safely.

By attending BachataAmor events, you agree to these principles and help us build a community grounded in joy, respect, and inclusivity. Let’s make BachataAmor Festivals a space of celebration, connection, and peace — where the universal language of dance brings us closer, every time.
